Wow Factor

I just got wowed at the cash register for having a 3c total! Yes, my groceries all came to a grand total of 3 whole pennies! The cashier told the courtesy clerk who turned to the cashier in the next lane who had to turn and see for herself as well!

I went in for a gallon of milk and then remembered I had those $5 off coupons I got last week from buying cereal at Smiths! I found cream cheese on sale for 99c, I was swayed to get some manager special mark down chicken, got my milk, and then picked up 2 clearance candy bars in the check out! Grand total came to about $20 so we scanned my Smiths loyalty card which knocked it down to $15.03. I handed over 3 of those $5 Catalina coupons that printed from last week’s sale and bam!
“3 pennies please!”

What are you using your Catalina coupon for this week? Don’t forget they expire this month!

Mission Organization

Hubby had to work all night so I’m stuck downstairs trying to let him sleep! Kiddos are watching cartoons and I’m tackling kitchen cupboards!!

This corner cupboard is where I keep drink mixes, paper goods, and treat foods I don’t want little kiddos reaching! (And after removing everything I found out I’ve been storing empty containers of food/ mixes!)

I find the best thing to do is remove all items, wipe out cupboards, sort/ purge/combine items (like dump small amounts of hot cocoa back into the big container of hot cocoa) and then put everything back on the shelves.

I use baskets to combine like things in my pantry and it also works well for combining paper goods in this particular cupboard!

Next up is the storage container cupboard! You know, the rectangle and square, and sandwich sized plastic containers that you can never find the matching lid? Yeah, I need to tackle all those since I’m making strawberry jam this weekend and need containers for the freezer!

Oz the Great and Powerful Movie Review

With all the recent hype about WICKED being in Las Vegas last fall it’s only fitting to follow up with seeing the newest Disney movie “Oz the Great and Powerful” that is playing in theatres now! And how was it? Completely fabulous! It’s enough of the familiar characters and places mixed with new quirky personalities and events to leave you impressed and cheering for a triumphant good versus evil victory! And the 3 witches in this movie plus the unbelievable, but still caring, wizard from Kansas really gives this movie plenty of twists and turns, not only on the yellow brick road, but in their personal lives as well!

Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.

“Oz The Great and Powerful” is produced by Joe Roth, with screen story by Mitchell Kapner and screenplay by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. Grant Curtis, Palak Patel, Josh Donen and Philip Steuer are serving as executive producers. “Oz The Great and Powerful” opens in U.S. theaters on March 8, 2013.

They are located in Tivoli Village right off of Summerlin Pkwy and Rampart and have classes for ages 0-6 years and in all sorts of fun and exciting topics: music, science, dance, art, preschool, movement, sports, and of course the best kid gym in town! In addition to birthday parties and weekly classes, Kidville also has a great little boutique and a kid salon, complete with a great atmosphere and environment for getting those locks of love all cut, styled, and in place!

I took my 4 year old and 2 year old to check out some music, movement, dancing, arts and crafts! They loved the overview of all the classes, but there was no denying that their favorite part of the whole Kidville experience was by far the free play in the totally amazing kid gym! Where else can little kids jump around on trampolines, swing on uneven bars, hop through the soft building blocks, zip across the room on a zip line, and dance dance dance while being completely entranced by magical bubbles? They LOVE the kid gym!

Good news for you! You have a chance to win a half semester of classes offered at KIDVILLE (class starts Feb 25th and ends the week of April 22nd). It is a $210 value, includes a 1/2 semester PLUS a PLATINUM Membership which allows for unlimited play time at the gym throughout your half-semester!
