Make sure to head to your local Smith’s Grocery store this Saturday from noon- 5pm. There will be free samples, free coupons (and lots of them), and a raffle happening every 15 minutes! Might as well call it lunch!
This week at Smith’s you can get boxes of Little Debbie snacks for only 99c as part of an amazing promo! In today’s paper (Feb. 3) there is a coupon in the SS (Smart Source) for 75c off one box of Little Debbie snacks! Good thing I subscribe to multiple newspapers!
99c- 75c off of 1 (SS 2/3 exp 5/31) = 24c for each box!
I’m picking the boxes that have 12 snacks in each and using them for class parties!
Come taste WildTree’s organic line of oils, spices and other products and learn how you too can feed your family healthier meals for less!

WHAT IS IT: AS THEY GROW HENDERSON – open to local consignors and valley shoppers searching for gently-used children’s items at a fraction of retail. Started by three local Las Vegas mothers, the seasonal sale -by popular demand- has grown to 33,000 sq.ft. with over 80,000 children’s items to shop from. Parents drop off their items in advance and As They Grow Henderson organizes the items to create a department store-like setting for easy shopping. Consignors keep 65–70% of what their items sell for.
WHO: Las Vegans can participate in multiple ways; people can consign items, volunteer, shop the sale only or be a vendor. Consigning is completely automated through the easy-to-use As They Grow website at www.AsTheyGrowSale.com
WHEN: October 12-14: The sale is open to the public Friday and Saturday, October 12th and 13th from 10am until 8pm and Sunday, October 14* from 10am until 3pm with a $2 cash-only entry fee for adults (kids are free) for the entire weekend. Free admission with military I.D. or foster parent credentials. Sunday is 50% off select items.
WHERE: 9850 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89183, at the SE corner of Maryland Parkway and Silverado Ranch.
Any unsold items from the sale that are marked for donation will be given to the Children’s Heart Foundation, Women’s Resource Medical Centers of Southern Nevada, Peggy’s Attic and Baby’s Bounty.
Stay tuned and I’ll post about my awesome experience consigning (selling) my items last year! I made over $300 and sold every single item (a little over 100 items) my very first time consigning! How’s that for some easy money? I loved it!

What’s better than getting a screaming daily deal for a hot hot price? How about getting a daily deal AND having a portion of the proceeds go to a local non-profit organization! Amazing, right?
Let me introduce you to the new Las Vegas deal site: www.dealorbust.com where every deal is the best deal, because you are helping to raise funds for some amazing local non- profit groups! And the neat thing about www.dealorbust.com is the BUST part! When a certain number of deals have been purchased then the deal “busts” and 1 lucky person gets their deal for FREE! So go check it out, sign up (it’s completely free to do), and purchase some deals in hopes that they BUST! Of course don’t forget that each deal is for a great cause!
Today and for the next few days the lucky non- profit organization to benefit from the daily deals is my son’s school: Discovery Charter School (Las Vegas) which is a local free public charter school with 2 locations in the valley and serves grades k-8! This school is project based- even the kindergarteners research a topic and present their findings in front of the whole class every 6 weeks when their projects are due! This school is still fairly new and has many aspirations to help improve the learning environment and classroom education for their students!
This Saturday, May 12th is the National Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive! You have a week to go through your kitchen pantry, drawers, and cupboards! Any extra food items you have or know that your family will not use you can simply place in a bag and leave it by your mailbox! Your mail carrier will then collect the bags of food on Saturday as they are making their daily mail deliveries! Donating couldn’t be easier!!
I have a neighborhood cluster mailbox (you know, the kind where the whole street picks up their mail from 1 set of mail boxes) so each year I leave a note in my mailbox stating that my bags of food to donate are by my front door! My mail carrier doesn’t mind!
So if you need an excuse to go through your pantry and really spring clean and check those expiration dates, then here’s your opportunity!
Donate items like canned meats, fish, soup, bottled juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration. Please do not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.
Saturday evening my husband gets to help unload all the food from the mail trucks at our local post office! I can’t wait to see his pics of how much food comes in the help our local 3 Square Food Bank here in Las Vegas!
