As They Grow Kid’s Consignment Sale in Henderson, NV (October 12-14th)
Did you hear? The awesome ATG (As They Grow) Kid’s Consignment Sale is coming to Henderson, NV near 215 and Eastern! I absolutely LOVE this sale and find the best deals on clothes, shoes, toys, furniture, big backyard toys, books, movies, games, and even new baby items! If you have kiddos ages newborn thru age 12 (size newborn thru girls 16 and boys size 20) then this is the event to shop!!
I got a Bumbo seat with tray for $15 and it seriously looked like it had never been used! We’ve been going the the ATG sale for years and each time we find such great items! I go for clothes, but of course my kiddos go to check out the toys! Geo Trax, Thomas the Train, Leap Frog brand items, and now baby dolls are what they have their eyes on! Started by three local Las Vegas mothers, the seasonal sale -by popular demand- has grown to 33,000 sq.ft. with over 80,000 children’s items to shop from. Parents drop off their items in advance and As They Grow Henderson organizes the items to create a department store-like setting for easy shopping. Consignors keep 65–70% of what their items sell for.
WHO: Las Vegans can participate in multiple ways; people can consign items, volunteer, shop the sale only or be a vendor. Consigning is completely automated through the easy-to-use As They Grow website at www.AsTheyGrowSale.com

This school is project based- even the kindergarteners research a topic and present their findings in front of the whole class every 6 weeks when their projects are due! This school is still fairly new and has many aspirations to help improve the learning environment and classroom education for their students!
Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive 2012

This Saturday, May 12th is the National Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive! You have a week to go through your kitchen pantry, drawers, and cupboards! Any extra food items you have or know that your family will not use you can simply place in a bag and leave it by your mailbox! Your mail carrier will then collect the bags of food on Saturday as they are making their daily mail deliveries! Donating couldn’t be easier!!
I have a neighborhood cluster mailbox (you know, the kind where the whole street picks up their mail from 1 set of mail boxes) so each year I leave a note in my mailbox stating that my bags of food to donate are by my front door! My mail carrier doesn’t mind!
So if you need an excuse to go through your pantry and really spring clean and check those expiration dates, then here’s your opportunity!
Donate items like canned meats, fish, soup, bottled juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration. Please do not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.
Saturday evening my husband gets to help unload all the food from the mail trucks at our local post office! I can’t wait to see his pics of how much food comes in the help our local 3 Square Food Bank here in Las Vegas!
