The next FREE Grocery Smarts Coupon 101 class is happening Monday, Apr 15th at 6pm in the SW part of town 89178 (Mountain’s Edge Parkway between Buffalo and Durango).  We’re also swapping coupons, having a potluck, and trading stockpile items!  Little ones are welcome to attend, however it’s much easier to clip and learn without distractions!

Come one, come all- new or old to couponing! Bring your coupon inserts, scissors, stockpile items to trade and a potluck snack! Bring a friend too!  There’s plenty of room!

Newbies: Come learn how to save at least 50% off your grocery bill by using coupons found in the local Sunday newspaper!  We will discuss how and where to get the best deal on coupons (and how you can get the couponer’s special on multiple subscriptions to the local LVRJ newspaper), a 5 minute coupon organization method, the right and WRONG  way to use a coupon, and how to use these coupons to buy items your family already knows, loves, and uses!  No matter your dietary needs (sugar-free, gluten-free, organic, or no restrictions) you can and will save money by using coupons on your favorite products!  Come learn more!

What is the As They Grow Sale?

Every spring and fall there is a huge sale for an entire weekend called “As They Grow.” At this sale you can (and will) finding clothes from size newborn up to big kid size 18 (girls) and size 20 (boys). They also have shoes, toys, furniture, puzzles, sports/ dance equipment, books, DVDs, educational items, baby equipment (strollers, carriers, bumbos, boppies, exersaucers, and so much more!

I dropped off my items to sell today and the workers inspected each item (to make sure everything works and there’s no stains) and then sorted and organized my items by placing them in the big open space! Check out these pictures to see just how much stuff is up for sale! This was before noon!! There’s still an entire afternoon left for items to be dropped off!

The spring As They Grow Sale is happening this weekend (March 15-17) in the Target shopping Center at Meadows Lane and Decatur (right off of US 95)! Admission is $2 cash at the door for adults and children are free! There are FREE admission postcards located at many small businesses around the sale and also at the front desk of the Mirabelli Commumity Center!

Oz the Great and Powerful Movie Review

With all the recent hype about WICKED being in Las Vegas last fall it’s only fitting to follow up with seeing the newest Disney movie “Oz the Great and Powerful” that is playing in theatres now! And how was it? Completely fabulous! It’s enough of the familiar characters and places mixed with new quirky personalities and events to leave you impressed and cheering for a triumphant good versus evil victory! And the 3 witches in this movie plus the unbelievable, but still caring, wizard from Kansas really gives this movie plenty of twists and turns, not only on the yellow brick road, but in their personal lives as well!

Disney’s fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,” directed by Sam Raimi, imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved wizard character. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great wizard but into a better man as well.

“Oz The Great and Powerful” is produced by Joe Roth, with screen story by Mitchell Kapner and screenplay by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire. Grant Curtis, Palak Patel, Josh Donen and Philip Steuer are serving as executive producers. “Oz The Great and Powerful” opens in U.S. theaters on March 8, 2013.

Kidville Las Vegas FREE Giveaway!

Where else can little kids jump around on trampolines, swing on uneven bars, hop through the soft building blocks, zip across the room on a zip line, and dance dance dance while being completely entranced by magical bubbles? They LOVE the kid gym!

As They Grow Kid’s Consignment Sale in Henderson, NV (October 12-14th)

Did you hear?  The awesome ATG (As They Grow) Kid’s Consignment Sale is coming to Henderson, NV near 215 and Eastern!  I absolutely LOVE this sale and find the best deals on clothes, shoes, toys, furniture, big backyard toys, books, movies, games, and even new baby items!  If you have kiddos ages newborn thru age 12 (size newborn thru girls 16 and boys size 20) then this is the event to shop!!

I got a Bumbo seat with tray for $15 and it seriously looked like it had never been used!  We’ve been going the the ATG sale for years and each time we find such great items!  I go for clothes, but of course my kiddos go to check out the toys!  Geo Trax, Thomas the Train, Leap Frog brand items, and now baby dolls are what they have their eyes on!   It’s never too early to shop for Christmas- especially when you can get so many things for really hot bargain prices!

Started by three local Las Vegas mothers, the seasonal sale -by popular demand- has grown to 33,000 sq.ft. with over 80,000 children’s items to shop from. Parents drop off their items in advance and As They Grow Henderson organizes the items to create a department store-like setting for easy shopping. Consignors keep 65–70% of what their items sell for.

WHO: Las Vegans can participate in multiple ways; people can consign items, volunteer, shop the sale only or be a vendor. Consigning is completely automated through the easy-to-use As They Grow website at www.AsTheyGrowSale.com
